A Fair Oaks In-Home Newborn Session // The Blackmon Family
There’s something incredibly special about photographing a newborn in their very first home. This sweet session in Fair Oaks was full of love, patience, and beautiful details that made it one to remember. Blair was just 8 days old when I had the honor of capturing her first days earthside, and her nursery was straight out of a dream.
Perfect Little Details
When I stepped into the nursery, I was instantly taken by the soft, pastel color palette. Gentle pinks and blues set the tone, and delicate swan details could be found throughout the space. Every corner was thoughtfully curated with love for baby Blair—from the tiniest accessories to the cozy textures layered throughout the room. It was the perfect backdrop for this in-home newborn session.
Big Brother Love
Sessions with toddlers can be unpredictable, and that’s part of the magic. Blair’s older brother, Elliott, had a tough start to the morning (as most toddlers do when big changes are happening!). But with time, space, and a little encouragement, he warmed up beautifully. By the end of our session, he was all smiles, proudly holding his baby sister in a moment that made everyone’s heart melt.
Why In-Home Newborn Photography in Fair Oaks is So Special
There’s a calmness that comes from being in your own space. In-home newborn sessions allow families to relax, snuggle up, and enjoy these fleeting newborn days without the stress of leaving the house. The photos feel more personal, more connected. And in this Fair Oaks home, love was present in every moment—from the way Mom gently dressed her baby girl to the quiet joy on Dad’s face.
If you’re in the Fair Oaks or greater Sacramento area and are expecting a baby soon, I’d love to help you document those precious first days at home. These tiny moments go by so quickly—but through photos, you can hold onto them forever.
